Engineering Technician II EPG Ft. Hood

What will this Position will Offer You?

You will monitor the operation of a variety of test equipment using established methods or particular procedures specified by test officials. Researches and identifies pertinent information necessary to document systemic anomalies that are translated into formal Test Incident Reports (TIRs) that are largely employed as supporting documents for reliability data. Drafts TIRs in a prescribed format/program and submits for review by section manager. Receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from the section supervisor/task leader, as needed. All work is reviewed for technical adequacy or conformity with instructions. Explicit instructions are given for all unfamiliar assignments and the technical adequacies of both formal and non-routine tasks are reviewed in progress or upon completion. May be asked to operate system while in test mode (training will be provided) and may be asked to work alternate shifts (days or nights), six day a week to include holidays.

Position Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* 5 years experience

* Clean driving record without violations required

* Ability to work alone or in teams as necessary

* Willing to work additional hours or go TDY if necessary

* Knowledge of software testing is desired but not required

* Ability to complete all necessary training and support for the testing events with out absence.

Security Requirements: Active Interim Secret
