What You'll Do:

We are seeking an experienced GL (General Ledger) Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing a team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This role will oversee all aspects of the general ledger function, including month-end close processes, reconciliations, and financial analysis. The GL Accounting Manager will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our financial data and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of GL accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure the team meets deadlines and objectives.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, encouraging professional growth and development among team members.

  • Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial statement activity in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

  • Review and analyze balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the GL accounting function, implementing best practices to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage sales tax compliance efforts in multiple jurisdictions.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and external partners.

  • Prepare audit schedules and assist with the resolution of audit inquiries and findings.

Who You Are:

You are a seasoned accounting professional with a passion for precision, leadership, and strategic financial management. You possess a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices, coupled with a track record of success in managing GL functions and leading teams to achieve outstanding results. Your expertise extends beyond traditional accounting roles, as you bring knowledge in sales and income tax compliance, enriching your ability to navigate complex financial landscapes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification required.

  • Proven experience (7+ years) in GL accounting roles, with demonstrated progression in responsibilities and leadership.

  • Experience managing and developing a team of accounting professionals.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with a solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with Sage Intacct a plus.

  • Experience in researching, interpreting, and applying new accounting pronouncements as applicable.

  • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with experience in sales tax compliance and income tax reporting.

Compensation

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and in addition to benefits this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity.

US Base Salary Range: $85,800 - $154,300
