As a Division Safety Manager at United Rentals, you will ensure compliance with all Company and governmental safety and environmental health regulations. You will manage the planning, development, implementation, and administration of safety policies, programs, and training for assigned region(s).

Responsibilities will also include the following:
Protect the Company's employees, customers, and assets against losses, injuries and accidents by directing, implementing, and overseeing the administration of safety and key loss prevention programs
Ensure safety compliance by overseeing OSHA, DOT, and other compliance related activities
Protect the Company's employees, customers, and assets against losses, injuries and accidents through enforcement of safe work practices
Prevent accidents and other safety exposures by investigating, identifying causes, and developing preventative measures and practices
Build successful business partnerships by communicating with corporate Safety department, customer safety managers, and regional management and employees
Meet safety and environmental health goals by developing and implementing training programs consistent with governmental regulations and business and customer needs
Mitigate risk exposure by identifying sources of safety and environmental risk and developing needed programs, policies, and procedures
Other duties assigned as needed
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, preferably relating to Safety and Health. Master's degree preferred
3 to 5 years of professional-level safety related experience
Ability to persuasively communicate with all levels of management
Strong training and presentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications and other operations applications
Strong knowledge in all areas of OSHA and ANSI including, but not limited to, CFR 1910 and 1926 as well as legislation affecting these areas
Knowledge in all areas of FMCR's as they relate to the rental industry
Occupational Health-Safety and/or accredited professional certification preferred
