ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Perform recurring monthly financial close activities and participate in monthly financial reviews
  • Complete recurring accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, variance analysis, etc.
  • Support Operations & Management Teams with one-off specialized reports based on business needs
  • Support payroll and credit card accounting process and reconciliations
  • Perform monthly operating-to-financial system reconciliations with research across multiple operating systems
  • Special projects may include supporting accounting system conversions, accounting records cleanup or cash-to-GAAP basis conversion
  • Manage internal control environmental
  • Support annual financial audit including prep work and engage with external auditors during fieldwork
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as assigned by Controller
  • Other duties as assigned
 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Ability to enjoy a cross functional “high team” environment
  • Advance Excel & Google Sheets skills, including the use of pivot tables, vlookups and analysis of data
  • Highly adaptable to various levels of complexities of people, processes, and systems
 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Public accounting audit experience
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or accounting advisory role
  • Experience in a G-Suite environment

 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • CPA license
  • Home Services, Pest Control or logistics experience
  • Home Services, Pest Control or logistics experience
  • Experience working in a multi-EIN, multi-location, and cross-divisional business unit model
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, and Divvy
  • Purchase accounting experience
  • Accounting system-conversion/implementation experience
