We are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner Manager who will be responsible for providing HR support to one of our most critical engineering groups as well as manage members of our Austin HR Business Partner team. You should have experience and enthusiasm for creating and implementing programs that can help our leaders and employees reach their professional goals and group objectives, as well as experience managing and developing HR BP teams.
Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with business leaders. Anticipate HR-related needs, communicating within the HR department and with company leadership to develop and deliver solutions to address their business goals.
  • Manage a team of HR Business Partners. Aside from the engineering team that you will directly support, your direct reports will also support engineering and engineering support teams.
  • Work with your leaders and your team to identify and implement strategies to strengthen business group and employee engagement.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to your group on their leadership development, performance management, organizational effectiveness, compensation, team member retention, employee relations and compliance issues.
  • Help to support your HR colleagues and peers through positive partnering and providing feedback and guidance while we work together to provide the best HR experience for the company.
  • Maintain an "open door" where everyone is comfortable dropping by any time, while also being visible within your groups and at client staff meetings.
  • Quickly gain rapport with leadership and employees to establish professional trust.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience and 12+ years supporting a large employee base across multiple sites. Experience in semiconductor or other high-tech space is preferred since it accelerates your understanding of the environment and the challenges we face.
  • Previous experience (recent or current experience preferred) managing and developing a team of HR Business Partners or a mixed team of HR professionals.
  • Track record of proactively analyzing situations, identifying customer needs, showing creative thinking when troubleshooting, and delivering high quality solutions to completion. Not just answering the question but solving the problem.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and continuous change and demonstrating the same level of comfort to your business groups.
  • Ability to balance multiple strategic priorities and projects while simultaneously managing day-to-day tactical details where priorities can change in a moment.
  • Previous experience interacting with executive leaders is essential, along with your ability to influence and guide your group leaders.
  • Have a "work hard, play hard" attitude, sense of humor and the ability to joke around at work. Measured sarcasm is always appreciated at Cirrus Logic.
  • This should go without saying, but you're applying for a job in HR...you must be highly ethical and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong data analysis capabilities. Outstanding MS Excel and Office skills for analyzing, reporting, and making presentations.
  • Possess strong decision-making skills - be able to work independently with little supervision while taking complete ownership of assigned projects.
  • Possess a general disdain for rules just for "rules sake" but rather have the courage to suggest what is right thing for both the employee and the business.
