Job Description:

Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Workforce Development Coordinator to join our Human Resource Team based in Mobile, AL

The Workforce Development Coordinator (Military Focus) role requires an individual who can be inventive and meticulous while balancing operational excellence and program success. They will coordinate and assist in the execution of our team's efforts to develop sustainable and durable military workforce partnerships in the region. This includes analyzing labor demands and supply side dynamics, building partnership models and approaches, marshaling internal resources and collaboration with external partners. This role will also provide assistance to existing initiatives.

Nearby on 'Airbus Way' you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility, which strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry, is part of Airbus' strategy to enhance its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond.

This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America.

Your Challenges:
  • Build a pipeline for military candidates and maintain positive relationships with external partners (e.g. military transition assistance program (TAP) offices) and internal teams (e.g. human resources, and recruiting).
  • Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with hard-working, motivated people who are passionate about workforce development.
  • Work with a team to manage program deliverables within budgetary, resources and scheduling requirements against defined project milestones and deadlines.
  • Facilitate regional/statewide planning and implantation, including needs assessments, strategic planning, adaptation to local needs, and progress monitoring.
  • Drive successful implementation, including military engagement, curriculum and program development; employer engagement; collaboration with government, non-profit organizations, and other workforce development intermediary organizations.
  • Develop an evaluation system of each program's effectiveness and output.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to create and manage feedback systems to monitor implementation needs to support the successful adoption, implementation, and scaling.
Your boarding pass:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Preferred: Military experience
  • 1+ year required, 2+ years preferred experience in workforce development, recruiting, marketing, career counseling, or human resources.
  • Experience in fast-paced entrepreneurial startup and/or environment.
  • Relevant program management experience.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize in a sometimes ambiguous environment and within cross-functional, global teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Google Workspace
  • Travel Required: 25% Domestically
