The Position

Job TitleDeposit Operations Specialist I - EIP

Job Description

SUMMARY

Employees in this position will be responsible for completing assigned job duties daily and provide assistance as needed within Exception Item Processing (EIP). Employees are expected to take initiative to ensure customer service is a priority while completing the required functions.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Work all DDA and savings account unposted items.
  • Complete Salesforce case requirements.
  • Review stop payment suspect list and work items appropriately.
  • Complete orders of foreign currency.
  • Monitor Deposit Operations email requests for timely responses and resolutions.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for learning all job duties in EIP.
  • Use resources available to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Assist with updating First Source documents to update as needed for changes to process.
  • Assist with training employees as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Complete all required compliance exams.
  • Adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures.
  • Complete ICS & CDARS requirements.
  • Monitor FED account for balancing issues and other various GL accounts.
  • Process Garnishments/Levies/Freezes received.
  • Process Subpoena requests.
  • Complete adjustment and dispute requests received.
  • Work and balance incoming Fed returns.
  • Work and balance NSF items.
  • Complete ARP exceptions and balancing.
  • Complete review of Verafin check fraud.
  • Complete research and verification of deposit requests.

Education and Work Experience

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Two years banking experience preferred

Technical/Functional Competencies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
  • Dependable and adheres to timelines and schedules.
  • Takes initiative in development and completion of projects.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
