Job Description

Ryan Companies US, Inc. has a career opportunity for a Director of Business Development position overseeing our West Division! This position will take a lead role in the creation and implementation of client relationship planning with a focus in client satisfaction. This professional will be responsible for developing internal (REM team, development team, etc.) and external (property owners, brokers, tenants) relationships to support growth of the Real Estate Management (REM) and Ryan Building Services (RBS) departments.

Some things you can expect to do:

  • Anticipate and create opportunities for new business and sources of revenue, successfully negotiate and close management agreement transactions with clients and prospects.
  • Represent Ryan in trade organizations and in the community to identify and contact potential clients to establish rapport and determine opportunities.
  • Assist SVP with the creation and implementation of the corporate budget, creatively and proactively achieve fees consistent with the corporate budget, develop quotes, scope and fees for new business. Responsible for revenue generation for specified regions.
  • Works to coordinate bridging gaps between leasing, tenant improvement and completion and occupancy.
  • Identify performance gaps that are keeping the property from leading the market. Work with local REM leaders to develop a Business Plan to achieve desired outcomes.

To be successful in this role, a bachelor's degree in Business, Economics or Real Estate is required. Candidates with at least 15 years of experience working as a property manager/asset manager in a real estate management or property management firm are most likely to be successful. Completion of two professional certifications such as CCIM, CPM or RPA is preferred.

Eligibility

Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the California Equal Pay Act for positions located in California. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts based on a variety of factors including experience, education, and other job-related reasons.

Salary range: $125,000 - $150,000/year
