This position will be employed through Headway consulting firm working remotely throughout the US.

The Learning and Development (L&D) Contractor for CRM is responsible for aiding in the development, coordination, and execution of technical training focused around the Macmillan Learning Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool, presently Salesforce.com. They work closely with the Learning & Development Manager, CRM to support and coordinate training initiatives, facilitating the creation and implementation of new training throughout the organization. An ideal candidate would be motivated and driven by delivering quality work and helping others, maintaining a positive attitude and enthusiasm for learning. This is a long term contract position, with a 6-12 month commitment at minimum. Must be available during regular business hours for live (virtual) training, meetings, and real-time collaboration.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Apply instructional design principles to create engaging and interactive training resources including job aids, e-learning modules, training sessions and presentations that align with adult learning principles.
  • Contribute to the writing, editing, and creation of a range of support materials including articles, FAQs, videos, and screen capture tutorials for our CRM processes.
    Assist in the onboarding process for new employees by providing live, virtual CRM training to address individual learning needs according to job role, and enhance user proficiency.
  • Engage with CRM administrators and other relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment between training content and system functionality, promoting a seamless user experience.
  • Provide support as a subject matter expert on CRM functionalities and processes, offering ongoing guidance to users across the organization. Monitor team inbox, Salesforce cases, Chatter, and Slack to help in responding to questions and inquiries.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing, collaborate closely with the L&D Manager, CRM on all projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ Years Work Experience (Education Industry prioritized).
  • Training or education experience with success in learning new systems and software quickly.
  • Ability to write and communicate clearly to an audience with no technical knowledge and expertise.
  • Proven experience in instructional design and creating/editing documentation.
  • Ability to research, absorb, and retain information quickly.
  • Strong aptitude for technology or proficient in technical subject matter.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work autonomously.
  • Exceptional organizational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently, prioritization, and attention to detail.
  • Strong interest in identifying and solving problems that drive better user experience and overall satisfaction.

Preferred Skills / Knowledge:

  • 1+ years Salesforce.com experience
  • Technical Writing experience

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree required

Hours:

  • 20 - 25 hours per week with potential to increase to ~30 hours in May 2024

Pay Rate:

$20/hour
