Position Description:
We are searching for a Credit Risk Management and Reporting Director. The Credit Risk Management and Reporting Director will work directly with the Chief Credit Risk Officer and other members of the management team to enhance, maintain, and monitor credit risk management and governance practices.
The position will be responsible for proactively improving and maintaining the bank's credit reporting framework. The Credit Risk Management and Reporting Director will also support the credit division by coordinating responses to ad hoc reporting requests and by interfacing with other areas of the bank to enhance data availability and reliability.
This position may also be involved in several other department activities, including estimating the allowance for credit losses and stress testing.

Day-to Day-Duties and Responsibilities:
Working in our hybrid work design you will:
- Assist senior management, including the Chief Credit Risk Officer, with the design, maintenance and monitoring of credit risk management and governance practices, and with the management of department processes, new projects and initiatives as needed.
- Anticipate credit risk management and governance needs and proactively adapt processes to changing market conditions and best practices.
- Drive implementation of new and innovative solutions to solve difficult data and complex reporting issues.
- Assist the department with the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the credit risk reporting framework and serves as a reviewer and/or backup for other credit risk management and reporting functions.
- Pursue modernization of the credit reporting framework through use of automation and other tools.
- Serve as centralized intake for ad hoc cred it reporting requests. Design responses and ensure timely completion of requests either by executing individually or through coordination with other team members.
- Work directly with other bank divisions, including Finance and Information Technology, to improve the availability and reliability of reporting data.

It is an important role that covers many skills. This position requires:
A bachelor's degree with a major in economics, finance, business, statistics, or a related field, plus ten (10) plus years of financial, credit, and/or risk management experience. Programming and/or data management experience is a plus.
Possesses expert knowledge of credit risk management, credit and lending practices. Ability to creatively solve complex problems, exercise sound judgment and apply discretion. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Comfortable working on advanced processes with minimal supervision. Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel and a general understanding of reporting tools, such as SQL and Power BI, are required. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. May coach and/or develop colleagues.
