The Public Sector Cloud Solution Specialist is a critical role within our sales team, exclusively focused on promoting and selling FEDRAMP and STATE-RAMP certified Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) - Public Cloud. This role requires a seasoned sales professional with a deep understanding of cloud technology, FEDRAMP and NIST cybersecurity standards, sales execution and the ability to influence customer decisions via the exploration of business use cases and prescribing the right path for their Hybrid/Cloud journey.

Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) - Public Cloud is a 100% open-source Cloud platform designed for the modern enterprise, which supports multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments with unmatched flexibility.

As a Public Sector Cloud Sales Specialist you will:

  • Be the evangelist helping shape Public Sector customer decisions to buy and adopt Cloudera Data Platform (CDP), serving as a product specialist and trusted advisor to Americas field sales teams.

  • Support the GVP's in specific initiatives and projects that drive cloud consumption. Leverage regional Cloud solution architects, customer success, industry managers, support, and engineering teams to assist in these initiatives.

  • Drive cloud consumption revenue through sales-led activities such as territory planning, targeted account planning, prospecting and replicating product success at scale.

  • Deliver on CGSI CDP Public Cloud targets for onboards, bookings, and consumption. Utilize forecast planning methodologies to assist field teams and customers in strategizing and executing effective consumption planning.

  • Influence CDP strategies by providing direct feedback to sales, marketing, and product/engineering on current and future product requirements.

  • Understand and leverage advancements in AI and Public Cloud offerings to better serve clients and meet their unique needs.

We're excited about you if you have:

  • Minimum 8+ years of exceeding enterprise software sales targets.

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in selling public cloud solutions.

  • Proven ability to analyze sales data, predict market trends, customer needs, and identify new opportunities for cloud solutions.

  • Fast moving start-up with use case-driven experience.

  • Ability to operate independently in an entrepreneurial environment.

  • Practical understanding of the usage and value of the following systems and architectures:

    • Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud

    • Architectural benefits of SAAS, IAAS, and PAAS platforms

  • Hands-on knowledge of the big data ecosystem, including selling or delivering data warehousing, data engineering, data in motion, operational databases, and/or machine learning technologies.

  • A willingness to learn, a curiosity to discover and a drive to make your customers successful.

  • A passion for using technology to make a difference to people and organizations.

  • You are passionate about what you do and inspire people around you.

  • Ability to travel within the region.

  • BA/BS or equivalent educational background.

  • Possession of a security clearance is a bonus.
