This position has an end date of 8/31/24, renewable based upon availability of funding, work performance, and progress toward goals.

Purpose

To develop and direct initiatives that increase the awareness and thereby, the impact of Texas Child Mental Health programs and initiatives aimed at improving mental health access and care for children and adolescents in central Texas.

Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of the Communications and Outreach Program Administrator, in collaboration with clinical and program leadership, perform advanced outreach administration and coordination including managing, developing and evaluating outreach projects and plans including the recruitment and retention of institutional partnerships with physicians, medical practices, school districts, non-profits, local mental health authorities, and state and local agencies to promote program utilization and sustainability. Develop, direct and evaluate assigned projects using accepted project management methodologies, communication and consultation with leadership and colleagues, project team members and other stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with outreach team members and their program leaders, maintain responsibility for all phases of program outreach development and coordination of program activities. Administer, coordinate and market activities involved in assigned programs or projects. Coordinate with clinical and program area leads to ensure optimal attendees and/or presenters, adequate staffing coverage, and appropriate messages are delivered. Optimize in-person and virtual events, presentations, and similar outreach initiatives to ensure all programs and audience participants and/or attendees receive the appropriate messages and/or content. Assist clinical and program staff with external, inter-departmental and inter-institutional engagements and site visits. Conduct advance planning for presentations, webinars, meetings, and special events. Collaborate with outreach team members and their program leaders on the fulfillment and inventory of promotional materials and collateral. Assists with outreach tracking and reporting requirements at a department and state level.

  • Develop and implement standards for attainment of program goals and objectives. Identify stakeholders and contact information for PCPs, medical practices, school districts, non-profit foundations, local mental health authorities, and state and local agencies to promote program utilization and sustainability. Conduct marketing/outreach assessments for Dell Medical School coverage area.

  • Maintain frequent interaction with University departments, special groups and external agencies in administering outreach initiatives. Recommends new policies and procedures for improvement of outreach activities. In collaboration with program coordinators and data management staff, conduct focus groups, administer, and analyze satisfaction surveys, and identify lessons learned to ensure quality control and drive continuous program improvement.

  • Collaborate with the Communications team in the development of communications collateral, including slide decks, flyers, brochures, reports, newsletters, logos, promotional videos and items, and website and social media content that engage a variety of audiences. Represent program in external, inter-departmental and inter-institutional engagements and site visits. This position will require exhibiting across the catchment area which will require moving and lifting materials and promotional items.

  • Coordinate staff training and development related to the program and/or outreach. Performs related duties as assigned. May work on special projects as assigned. May attend professional development seminars.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and five years in program administration or program coordination including professional experience, at least one of which is in a medical, educational, non-profit or public sector setting or Master's Degree and 3 years of related experience. Experience executing comprehensive communications and/or outreach plans, managing multiple communications projects simultaneously. Experience with communicating complex information to diverse audiences, including high-profile stakeholders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in K-12 education and/or clinical setting. Experience with outreach and external stakeholder engagement. Experience using Smartsheet or other project management platforms. Licensed Community Health Worker (CHW).

Salary Range

$56,000 + depending on qualifications
