Job Description

Customer Support Specialists perform various functions which primarily involves inventory planning, forecasting, and ordering cylinder packages to ensure a smooth material flow to the end customer. Planners are responsible for planning inventory flow, analyzing statistical data, and using customer forecasts. Safety: Keep work area clean and orderly, follows all company procedures and safety policies Key tasks, duties, and responsibilities: *Download Open Order Reports *Review product information on each order which includes checking stock, leadtime dates, transit times and meeting customer spec requirements *Manage the major accounts monthly forecast for planning inventory *Order inventory by entering transfer orders to meet monthly forecast for major account *Complete inventory reports for major account *Upload inventory data weekly to major accounts inventory system *Process system receiving for major accounts incoming inventory *Enter sales orders for major account *Process sales order in major accounts system *Process shipping of all sales orders for major account to include shipping paperwork, invoices and custom labels *Review all analytical data for all cylinders before uploading analytical data into major accounts system *Resolve analytical issues immediately with responsible lab before uploading data *Follow up on transfer orders to confirm on time delivery *Communicate with filling plants for products that are overdue, shortages, etc. to insure continual product supply *Primary contact for afterhours emergencies for major account *Coordinate emergency situations with major account, Emergency Response Group and Matheson Safety Personnel *Actively participate in Toolbox Talks, Planning Meetings, etc. *Performs all other functions as assigned by Site Manager Quality: *Adheres to all quality system policies and procedures *Recommends and implements improvements to increase productivity, quality and on time performance Matheson is an Equal Opportunity Employer that complies with the laws and regulations set forth under EEOC. Job Requirements: *College Degree or equivalent experience *Planning/Scheduling experience preferred *Strong communicate skills *Ability to pay close attention to details *Solid computer skills/spreadsheets *Ability to prioritize work flow *Overtime may be required
